Refosco dal peduncolo rosso is a native vine of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, which owes its particular name to the red colour of the peduncle, i.e. the base of the rachis (stem). This is an always pleasant wine, it immediately reveals itself capable of combining great structure, elegance and harmony. The body, broad, juicy and full, is supported by thick and pleasantly young tannins, as well as by a still clearly perceptible freshness. Deep ruby red colour with notes of marasca cherry, bramble, and violets. It goes well with cured meats and cheeses, meat tortelli, game and baked veal shank with potatoes.
