We do not sell alcohol to anyone under the age of eighteen in accordance with the law. By placing an order with us you (and the final recipient) are confirming you are over eighteen.

Customer Promise On Quality

​

If you are unhappy with the quality of the product purchased on this website, we will refund you for the item that has not been opened and remains in saleable condition on its return. (See returns policy).

Breakages

​

If your order should not arrive in reasonable condition you should notify us as soon as possible. If the bottle is damaged on delivery you should refuse delivery and request free replacement when we are notified of this by you. (See delivery policy).

Availability

​

Some products can be out of stock, as soon as that happens we remove the visibility of the listings. In case you have purchased an item that is not in stock before we update the website we will contact you to offer a product of similar or higher quality and price at no extra cost to you.

Purchases

​

The prices for goods displayed on the website are normally for a bottle or a case (of 6 bottles, please see the indication on the product page) and are inclusive of VAT and Duty at rates valid as of time of purchase. Some products, due to the slow consumption of which, are sold individually. However, for wines and spirits the minimum order is 6 bottles. Additional charges include delivery fees only, and these prices are clearly marked on the 'Checkout' page, and advertised on the ‘Delivery’ page. All prices are quoted in Euro. We do not accept responsibility for typographical errors. Prices can change at any time without notice.

By completing and submitting the electronic order form on the site, you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.

​

By making that offer to purchase goods, you are also authorising VP Merchants and any payment processor used by the company to pre validate the Debit or Credit card presented for payment for the full value of the goods and related service charges contained in your basket. Your card will not be charged until the offer to purchase has been accepted by VP Merchants.

We will confirm acceptance of your order by email. This confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide on your order details. Whether or not you receive an email, our acceptance of your order will create a legally binding contract between us. We reserve the right not to supply you at our discretion.

Ordering Information

​

The minimum order for delivery from our online shop is one case or 6 bottles, it applies to wines and spirits/liqueurs; for beers the minimum order is 1 case. Premixed wine and spirits boxes, gifts, and chocolates are exempt and can be shipped as a single unit. Please see the indication of the exact number of products on the product page you are checking. We will pack your order in specially constructed plain cardboard boxes.

Delivery Information

​

Republic of Ireland: Flat rate of €7 on orders under €99. Free of Charge on orders over €99. 5 working days delivery, deliveries do not take place on weekends. We do not deliver to any other countries at the moment. We also offer free local delivery in Co. Dublin on orders over €50 with estimated delivery time of 3 working days.

​

Beer is sold in cases and delivered only in Co. Dublin. Please contact us via email if you are located outside of Dublin.

​

Goods must be received by a person 18 years of age or older. Where any of our couriers are in doubt as to the age of the person receiving the goods, they reserve the right to request proof of age and / or retain the goods until they can be received by a person of or above the legal age to purchase alcohol.

​

Please contact us if you have not received your wine within five working days after it was shipped and we will track it for you.

​

At peak times, particularly Christmas, your wine may take longer to arrive so we do ask you to place your orders as early as possible to avoid disappointment. If you do have any special requirements regarding delivery please contact us and we will do our best to facilitate you.

​

Deliveries are made during business hours (usually between 9 AM and 5 PM) and somebody must be present to take delivery and sign for it. If no one is home at the time of delivery a slip will be left with the courier's contact number on it for you to arrange a convenient time to receive or collect the wine. Please note we are unable to arrange for the courier to deliver wine outside business hours. If you think you (or the recipient) won't be home to accept the wine you can choose to have it delivered to a business address. It is mandatory that a contact number is provided for all delivery addresses.

Cancellation Of Orders, Returns & Refunds

​

You can cancel your order at any stage up to the point of dispatch at no charge. Simply contact us by phone on +353 83 052 9015 or email us info@vpmerchants.com. When contacting us, please provide us with your order number, as per displayed on your order confirmation.

​

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Any products which have not been opened and remain in saleable condition on return can be refunded no questions asked. Just email us so we can sort it out, however you will be responsible for any costs incurred in returning such goods.

​

In the unfortunate case of goods being faulty or damaged in transit, we offer the choice of either a replacement or a full refund including any delivery charges incurred.

Limited Warranties

​

VP Merchants will do its best in making sure that the website is available to you on a continual basis. However, because of the number of sources from which we obtain the content, because of human factors and because of the nature of the Internet, we do not give you any other warranties. In particular, you should not take the accuracy or availability of the information for granted and VP Merchants makes no warranty that the website is free from infection by viruses or anything else that has contaminating or destructive properties.

In respect of the content that is available on this website, VP Merchants will use its reasonable endeavours to resolve faults. You agree that VP Merchants will not be responsible for any losses you may incur as a result of your use or non-use of that content.
